Policies and Information for Students
By registering for classes at The Path Acting Studio, you agree to the below terms and policies as well as fully release, discharge and indemnify The Path Acting Studio and its employees, agents and representatives from any and all claims which may accrue on account of your participation.
Enrollment and Advancement Requirements
All Students must be 18 years old to register for classes and are aware that the material in the classes contain adult themes that will challenge actors as well as audiences.
Placement and advancement in The Path Acting Studio’s advanced classes is dependent upon consent of the Artistic Director, based on student’s education and prior acting experience.
Placement in our advanced level classes may be determined by submission of headshot and resume. The Student can email their headshot and resume to thepathactingstudio@gmail.com.
Payments
Payments are non refundable once the class has started. For Payment plans email us at thepathactingstudio@gmail.com
If you need to drop your class prior to the start of the term, you must give the office at least ONE WEEK’S NOTICE prior to the start of your class or workshop.
If you drop the class ON THE DAY OF THE FIRST CLASS OR AFTER, the full tuition is non-refundable, non-transferrable, and may not be kept on file for a future class.
Attendance Policy
Attendance is taken very seriously as regular class attendance helps us offer consistency in the classroom and each student’s education. The student should not be absent from more than one class. If they do miss more than one, the student will be required to repeat that level of class again before they can advance to the next level.
All students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times while students of The Path Acting Studio and agree to be bound by this Student Code of Conduct and Sexual Harassment Policy.

Privacy Policy
What happens in class, stays in class. In order to be free to take risks and make bold choices, we have to make sure that the names of your fellow students and the details of class work are kept confidential.
Taking screenshots or recording of any kind is strictly prohibited. Exceptions to this policy are afforded at the sole discretion of your instructor on a case by case basis and with the consent of all students.
If and when you are sent filmed portions of your class for educational purposes, all clips are to be kept private and confidential. They are not to be shared with anyone nor posted publicly (social media, etc.). They are not to be used to promote yourself or to be used for your reel.
Education Only
The work done at The Path Acting Studio is for educational purposes only. No audition or job is implied in any way in connection with any work done in classes conducted online or in-studio at The Path Acting Studio.
Student Code of Conduct and Sexual Harassment Policy
All students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times while enrolled at The Path Acting Studio and agree to be bound by this Student Code of Conduct and Sexual Harassment Policy. Students who engage in any of the following conduct are subject to disciplinary proceedings, suspension, expulsion, referral for criminal prosecution and/or suit for civil damages:
1. Harassment, including sexual harassment, hazing, and any behaviors which intimidate, threaten, coerce, or endanger the safety of others, or which interfere with the safety of any member of the studio or its guests.
2. Physical assault and/or physical abuse of any students, guests or staff of The Path Acting Studio.
3. Discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender expression, or age, and behaviors which interfere with the rights of others to experience an environment free from such discrimination.
4. Violation of any federal, state, county, or municipal law, ordinance or regulation.
5. Theft or abuse of personal property of The Path Acting Studio’s students, employees, or guests. This includes abuse, vandalism (including all forms of graffiti), or theft of The Path’s property.
All students agree to abide by this policy and to refrain from any such conduct. They also agree to cooperate in any investigation by The Path Acting Studio of any such alleged conduct, or any unprofessional conduct of any kind, including submitting any requested written or oral statements and participating in any meetings or hearings regarding disciplinary actions contemplated under this Student Code. All students agree to be bound by the final determination of any disciplinary proceedings so conducted and the decision of the Artistic Director of the Path Acting Studio shall be deemed final, and not subject to appeal, including any decision made by the Artistic Director regarding sanctions such as suspension or expulsion from The Path Acting Studio.
Sexual Harassment is defined according to the Illinois Human Rights Act as:
Any unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors or any conduct of a sexual nature when:
1. Submission to such conduct is made, either explicitly or implicitly, a term or condition of an individual’s admission, participation or advancement at The Path Acting Studio.
2. Submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for admission, participation or advancement decisions for such individual; or
3. Such conduct has the purpose or effect of substantially interfering with an individual’s classroom performance, participation or advancement or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive classroom environment.
The courts have determined that sexual harassment is a form of discrimination under Title VII of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended in 1991 and is a violation of the Illinois Human Rights Act
