Acting classes and the Journey
It all begins with an idea.
It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters in the end
Ursula K. LeGuin
This is the first quote I have in my book and this is my first blog. When an actor starts to breathe life into the character and starts on a journey of revelation and discovery, there can be many different paths to take on that journey, depending on the circumstances. At the end of the journey, a well-rounded character and performance await. The performance should always be in the back of the actor’s mind, but the real focus needs to be on each step to get there. It is this process or craft that the actor develops along the journey that dictates the success of the performance. Studying acting and acting classes are essential in building that foundation so that the journey can be enjoyable and successful!
